Information for Employers

At Windsor and Strode’s Colleges, we value real world learning and developing connections with local employers. All Level 2 and Level 3 students are required to undertake a minimum of one weeks work placement as part of their programme of study. We believe work placements will equip our students with vital employability skills, and allow them to gain experience within their chosen subject area. This valuable experience will prepare our students for the workplace or progression to higher education.

How can employers help?

Students will benefit greatly from getting industry experience which will help them kick-start a successful career in their chosen field and these types of opportunities can:

  • Give young people earlier exposure to the world of work by helping them develop the skills, experience and knowledge they’ll need when they leave College
  • Provide a chance to get a head start on their careers by gaining real industry experience and bring to life the curriculum by showing them how subjects can be applied and valued in the workplace
  • Provide employers with the chance to attract highly motivated and committed young people who are willing to learn, and identify young people who are right for your business and ensure your organisation has people with the skills you need

Employer benefits

  • Opportunity to connect with the workforce of tomorrow
  • Inspire the next generation
  • Raise your companies public profile
  • Support the local community and its young people
  • Access to future talent and support recruitment needs
  • Provide current workforce with the chance to develop supervisory and management skills
