You will need proven literacy skills and a fluent command of English, as well as good IT skills to succeed in this online course. You should have expertise in a subject area that you would like to deliver. An interview may be required.

You will obtain the necessary skills and knowledge to prepare, plan, deliver and assess teaching and learning sessions in a variety of contexts. Units include:
– Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training
– Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training
– Understanding assessment in education and training.

This is a fast-paced academic course, consisting of lectures, discussions, practical activities, and reflections. In addition, there is a 20 minute micro-teaching session delivered by each student
You will need to complete a portfolio of evidence which includes theoretical assignments and a practical assignment, all of which can be work-related if you are already working in the sector. This involves around an extra 2-3 hours of independent learning each week.
