This course is a direct replacement for the PTLLS and explores various teaching and training techniques required in adult learning.

Course information

You will obtain the necessary skills and knowledge to prepare, plan, deliver and assess teaching and learning sessions in a variety of contexts. Units include:
– Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training
– Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training
– Understanding assessment in education and training.

10 weeks

Online

This is a fast-paced academic course, consisting of lectures, discussions, practical activities, and reflections. In addition, there is a 20 minute micro-teaching session delivered by each student

You will need to complete a portfolio of evidence which includes theoretical assignments and a practical assignment, all of which can be work-related if you are already working in the sector. This involves around an extra 2-3 hours of independent learning each week.
