Level 4 BTEC Foundation Diploma in Creature Creation

This course is designed to explore and develop skills in all thing’s creature!!
Throughout the year, you will learn by doing as you create the creatures from your imagination and develop skills and techniques such as mould making, sculpture, life casting, modelling, concept art and special effects make-up, whilst building a unique portfolio that will support your progression into the creative industries and higher education.
In the first term you will take part in a skills unit where you will be introduced to all the essential materials and techniques, which will be underpinned with knowledge and research of films and theatre productions. During this unit you will have the opportunity to produce a creative outcome such as a puppet, scale model latex creature or a special effects make-up. After completion of the skills unit, you will choose your own direction, where you will develop your specialism whilst building your portfolio and being supported with your future progression.
