Course information
The aim of this course is to develop students’ ability to use everyday language efficiently for purposes of practical communication. It gives equal weight to the four skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing.
The syllabus covers several broad areas and related topics, including: Identity and culture (family and friends; technology; free-time; customs and festivals in Italian-speaking countries/communities) local, national, international and global areas of interest; current and future study and employment
The course aims to develop students’ imaginative and creative use of language and to offer insights into Italian culture and civilisation.
24 weeks
All students will need to buy course books which will provide much of the material for lessons and for homework. Students will be given lots of listening and speaking practice and will be taught in a relaxed and friendly environment.
