This course is designed for beginners with little or no prior knowledge of French.
By the end of the course, you will have survival language skills to deal with various everyday situations and will have acquired the basic linguistic structures.
The aim is to equip you with basic linguistic skills and cultural knowledge, enabling you to communicate effectively in French-speaking countries or with French-speaking visitors.

Course information
You will learn how to:
Ask about places and follow directions to them
Ask about times Introduce yourself and others
Make travel arrangements
Fill in forms
Recognise and act upon signs and written instructions
Obtain accommodation in hotel and guest-house
Obtain something to eat and drink
Obtain goods in a shop
Students will be given lots of listening and speaking practice and will be taught in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Two terms
You will take assessments in speaking and listening. These are short exercises which will be done in class. Successful completion of these will entitle you to the Entry Level 3 Award in Practical Languages, accredited by ABC Awards.
