Sport at Strode's College benefits from enviable facilities. A large sports field adjoins the campus with extensive football, rugby and hockey pitches. Athletics training, amongst a wide range of sports, is provided in the summer months and the tennis courts are available all year round. A new well- appointed fitness suite is next to the large, indoor sports' centre making most sport activities available to all students.
Sport provision and opportunities have increased dramatically over the last few years at Strode’s both academically and practically. Academically students can chose from a range of Level 3 and Level 2 courses (AS/A2 Sport & PE, BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport and BTEC First Diploma in Sport) and also industry recognised enrichment qualifications in Sports Coaching (CLSA/HSLA), Sports Physiotherapy (The FA Treatment and Management of Injury in Sport) and Fitness Instruction (CYQ Level 1 & 2 in Gym Instruction). Practically Strode’s College is fast gaining a reputation as a centre of sporting excellence both Regionally and Nationally with many sporting successes over 2011-2012. (See Strode’s Sport News Letter in Latest News section). Regional successes include Men’s and Women’s Surrey Cup wins and a Men’s Rugby Surrey Colleges League triumph. On a National level, three Strode’s students achieved individual National successes at the British Colleges National Finals held at Bath University. Amy Staniford won Gold for Golf (and also had the prestige of captaining the South East region at the event), Simon Davey a Gold in Trampolining and Oliver Scott a Bronze in Swimming. As a result Strode’s College students were influential in the South East achieving a 4th successive victory.
