Step into Work Programme

The Step into Work Programme has been designed to support Level 3, Year 1 students moving into Year 2 who want to progress into work or training (such as an apprenticeship) rather than into Higher Education, immediately on leaving college. Students have been asked to apply for this programme by completing a short application form and if successful, will move to a new Core Studies group. This group will follow both Step into Work and key aspects of the regular Core Studies programme and will include career guidance sessions, mentoring and employer partnership options, workshops and masterclasses over the coming year. Although this programme has a work-based focus, it will not preclude students applying to UCAS at a later date and this will continue to be supported if required.
