Strode’s recently opened its doors to a Law conference for all A Level Law students. The conference was an opportunity for the students to discuss and listen to three guest speakers finding out about the legal profession and the different routes they could take to enable them to practice Law.
Hannah Pike a Student Recruitment Manager from the University of Law, spoke to students about the work of barristers, solicitors, legal executives, reading Law at degree level and legal apprenticeships for solicitor and paralegal. While Shane O’Neill the Senior Legal Counsel at Fujitsu talked about working in the legal sector; and Ryan Stanton a former Strode’s Law student who is now in his second year of reading a Law degree at Reading University talked about life as a university student and advice to A-Level students.
Students were able to ask any and all questions to get the most out of the experience and network with the legal professionals.
Course Leader Duncan Bunce commented, “The Conferences was a massive success. Students came away feeling inspired by the profession as a whole.”
