Tom’s golfing success

Tom’s golfing success

Huge congratulations go to Tom Corrigan who recently travelled to Winchester to represent Strode’s in the Association of Colleges Golf Regional Competition.

After a pretty tough journey on the train with his clubs, Tom narrowly missed the ‘cut’ for the next round but thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the opportunity that Strode’s gave him.

Tom is currently studying A Levels in Business Studies, IT and PE and has already highlighted that he is a fantastic golfer.  Due to Tom’s performance and high standards he has already seen his handicap plummet to 5.

Tom plays the majority of his golf at Sunbury Golf Club, where he has been junior captain for the past 3 years and has been working in the shop as a retail assistant for about 6 months.  He is also an active member at Burhill Golf Club where he plays in competitions and competes in events.

The pictures are of Tom competition at this year’s club championship at Sunbury, where he ended up winning the men's and overall Club Championships by a shot.   He also captained the winning team in one of Surrey's most prestigious knockout junior team events called The Christies Cup.

Congratulations Tom and keep us posted of any more golfing successes.
