Strode’s sports teams kick off the season with two great victories

Our Men’s football team played their first match away at Collyer’s College in Horsham and came away winning 3-2. This was a great achievement for the newly formed team and shows what an exciting year of football we have ahead of us.  The standout performances were from Arber Azemi, Noah Mead and Matt Hazzle.

Strode’s rugby team were at home to Reigate in a “friendly” match. We had 23 players involved with a couple of boys fairly new to rugby. The boys won 22-14 by playing some fast exciting rugby, showing fantastic potential for the season. The standout performances were James Wilkes-Brough, Tristan Odotei and Zak Newton who captained the side.

Strode’s girl's football team narrowly lost in the final of the Surrey 5 a-side tournament last week.  The strong team has started the season on a very positive note, with a lot of students stepping up to represent the College.

Exciting times ahead for sport at Strode’s.
