Well done to our DofE students for completing their practice walk recently.
Students set off from the Bentley Copse campsite and walked to the Roman Temple at Farley Heath while taking in the spectacular views and areas of special scientific interest.
By the end of the trip all of the students had walked in 30 degree temperatures, consumed around 50 litres of water and walked over 40km in total.
This was another opportunity to get outside and begin to focus on some of the key navigational skills and techniques involved with walking the expedition section of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
Good job guys.
