Science Symposium

Science Symposium

On Thursday 23rd March Strode’s held its second Science Symposium in Coopers’ Hall.

Science students listened with enthusiasm as three keynote lectures from The Royal Holloway University came and presented.  Professor Martin King discussed his fascinating work and challenges of working at sub-zero temperatures as a polar science, Dr Deborah Harvey talked about the secret life of Stag Beetles while Dr Shobana Dissanayeke presented Skin microflora and biofilms problems on orthopaedic pins.

After the presentations our student scientists took the opportunity to present their individual research posters which ranged from space travel to organic chemistry.

This was an educational and entertaining evening for all.
