Recently Yr2 Diploma and Subsidiary Diploma Dance students embarked on a three-day residential trip to Barcelona. This was a once in a life time trip for students to enrich their learning while experiencing one of Europe’s most popular cities.
Student’s witnessed first-hand the bustling, lively, city that is renowned for its stunning architecture and culture.
First stop was to experience traditional Spanish flamenco dancing where students enjoyed the passion and energy of an authentic flamenco show and witnessed first-hand the technical performances and creative skills of top-level professionals while eating traditional savoury and sweet tapas.
During the trip the students also participating in an energetic and creatively diverse jazz workshop at the famous Institute of the Arts Barcelona. This enabled the students to build confidence, technical ability and learn new jazz combinations.
Before returning home the students took the opportunity to do the odd bit of sightseeing and shopping.
