Hundreds of Strode’s students have been commended recently for achieving either 100% attendance or excellence in their subjects during the first half term of the academic year.
College Principal Rowan Cookson said, ‘This is amazing news and it is great to see so many students wanting to celebrate their excellence in a really positive way.’
All of the winners were invited to celebrate their achievement where they were presented with a small token and certificate and placed into a prize draw. Rowan Cookson then drew the winning tickets and presented the lucky winners with £10.00 vouchers. Our congratulations go to Ellie Ireland, Ashely Matthews, Josh Crawley, Kajal Patel, Wilma Aduboffour, Lizzie Tolland, William Brett, Joseph Davies, Louise Carr, James Palmer, Tyler Pannone, Jack Lowrie-Williamson, Ella, Ross, Gbemisola Ogunfiditimi, Stacey Hampstead, Madision Beale, Paul Taplin and Amelia Firman.
Looking ahead, these celebrations of great attendance and excellence will take place every half term until the end of the year as a spur to all students.
To incentivise other students to continue to improve their attendance, the clock will start again giving everyone a new opportunity to aim for excellence over the next half term until Christmas and receive a prize.
