Snow, Ice and a good reason to be a Scientist

Snow, Ice and a good reason to be a Scientist

On Thursday 25th February Strode’s held its first ever Science Symposium.  The evening commenced with Professor Martin King, a polar scientist from Royal Holloway University.  Professor Martin King came and presented  to students, parents and staff about Snow, Ice  and a good reason to be a Scientist including showing his polar explorer equipment!

Members of the Life Sciences Society and high graded students were then invited to present pieces of independent research as posters.  Parents and staff took the opportunity to question students about their research project with the overall winner (Kiran Rai) who received an illustrated copy of The Origins of Species by Charles Darwin.  Congratulations to Kiran and all the other students, it was such a hard job choosing as they were all amazing.
