Tyler Watson, studying Maths (Mechanics), Computing and Physics (A-Level) has been accepted on to the STEM programme at the Imperial College, London.
The Imperial STEM programme is open from Year 10's and upwards, however, the Year 12 course that Tyler applied for is a two year programme with allocated sessions within the holidays. Its aim is to provide students with more experience in a University environment and provide easy access to subject specific lectures, master classes and open days. Tyler will also receive guidance on his UCAS application and given the opportunity to ask questions to the subject lecturers themselves and gain an insight into how each course is run. This programme helps students to find the right courses and Universities for them while providing further teaching in the subjects they are already studying at college.
Tyler was encouraged by a friend to look into the STEM programme and The Imperial programme stood out as this is one of his preferred choices for university.
When Tyler leaves Strode’s he is hoping to go to university ideally Cambridge, Imperial College London or Leeds; to study Engineering or Computer Science.
Well done Tyler!
