On 9th December at the second student parliament of the academic year, over 42 tutor reps engaged in an excellent discussion about the sort of College they wanted Strode’s to be.
Students initially watched an address that was recorded earlier in the month when Mr. Hammond made a return visit to Strode’s. Mr. Hammond delivered an impressive speech highlighting the importance of student democracy, student voice and the importance of democratic participation.
The parliament also heard an update from the student council on their activities to date and students contributed specific ideas and feedback to the Egham Town Team about what they would like in Egham’s town Centre.
As ever students joined in really positively and made their views known in a professional and convincing fashion. The next Parliament is on 16th March 2016. Thank you to the tutors who helped prepare the students so well.
