Strode’s College is delighted to announce that current Deputy Principal, Rowan Cookson, has been appointed as the new Acting Principal, replacing Anne Fielding Smith who retired at the end of August.
Current Principal, Anne Fielding Smith said “I am delighted that Rowan will take up the position as Acting Principal when I retire at the end of August. I have worked closely with Rowan for the last couple of years and I have every confidence that I will be leaving the college in safe hands”.
Rowan Cookson said: "I’m thrilled to be appointed Principal at Strode’s College. As one of largest providers of A Level education in north west Surrey, we offer over 40 subjects at A Level and a full range of BTECs. Strode’s has got an outstanding reputation for teaching and learning, I am firmly committed to delivering the highest quality education to all our students and I am looking forward to working with my team during this challenging time for FE to take the college forward into the future."
Prior to joining Strode’s College in September 2010 as Assistant Principal, Rowan has had 25 successful years in education during which time she has become a specialist in post-16 provision.
