“Informative and Inspiring!” and “I wish I was 30 years younger so that I could attend Strode’s”
… was the feedback from prospective students and their parents attending Strode’s very successful Open Evening last night, as we launched our new 2016 prospectus on one of the hottest July days on record.
Staff feedback is that they were busy all evening and that there was a really positive feel to the whole event. The student ambassadors were outstanding, showing people around the College, answering questions and talking about student life outside of the curriculum … one parent shared “They are a really credit to themselves and to the College.”
All three of the Principal’s Talks were very popular as Rowan Cookson, Acting Principal from September 2015, talked about the Strode’s experience, our proven track record and what she believes it takes to be a successful student.
Vibrant displays and interactive workshops were on show all across the College including non-stop performances in the dance and drama studios and passionate monologs outside of the Tercentenary building as the sun was setting. The Science department had wonderful experiments taking place while the Media department were still buzzing from their “Henry’s” the night before.
With such great, positive feedback and the tremendous energy staff and students put into making this event such a great success I am sure we will see lots of familiar faces at our taster days which start next week.
