Strode's Politics students were fortunate to have another MP bring Politics to life in the classroom. Kwasi Kwarteng spoke about the future of the Conservative Party for 2015. He spoke about the lack of majorities and how that could create instability, but with an election looming within the next two months results could break through either way.
Kwasi analysed whether the UK's two party system had broken down, the disengagement of the young in politics and delved into current issues such as the controversy with second jobs outside Westminster.
The students found his visit invaluable as they were able to discuss relevant issues and topics being studied on their AS course as well as for their development of their broader interests.
