Strode’s student Ellie Daniels has been trying out life as a Cambridge undergraduate, as one of 420 participants in the 2015 Cambridge University Students' Union (CUSU) Shadowing Scheme.
Organised annually by CUSU, the scheme aims to give bright young people from non-university backgrounds the opportunity to experience life at a top university.
Ellie, studies Early Modern History, English Literature, Maths and Biology here at Strode’s. At Cambridge she teamed up with a student from Newnham College, attending lectures, supervisions, and social events, for a taste of what undergraduate life at the University is really like.
Eliie, who is interested in studying either History or English at university, said that her experience really changed her thoughts about Cambridge. “The shadowing scheme was an amazing experience of university life for me. My trip proved to me how important it was for me to work hard to have a chance of being a student there one day.”
