Can you remember Molly?
Molly is the young lady that has got a rare genetic disorder called Usher Syndrome type 2 which means she was born severely deaf and at the age of 12 she was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa (RP), an eye condition that causes night blindness, glare blindness and tunnel vision.
Since introducing Molly to you… things have progressed.
Over the summer Molly has spoken at the Harvard Medical School in USA and addressed Parliament. Now she has returned to education and has started at the University of Roehampton in South-west London where she is studying to become a primary school teacher.
Fantastic news is that Molly was nominated and is runner up for Sense's Deafblind Person of the Year 2014 and she is only 20!
Even more exciting news, the book Molly created whilst at Strode’s is with the publisher and will be available to buy next week with all proceeds going to the Molly Watt Trust.
