Winning in the water

A team of Strode’s students represented the College at the British Colleges South East regional championships, held at the Surrey Sports Park.


There were some great individual performances from Rory Burdin (BTEC Sport) who claimed Silver in the Men’s 50m and 100m Freestyle and Chris Hall (BTEC Sport) who claimed Silver in the 50m Breaststroke.


The best result of the meet came from Grace Quincey with a 1st Place in the 200 individual medley Grace now goes on to represent the South East in this event at the British Colleges finals in Bath next year.


There were also very good performances from Emma Banks, Dan Barrett and Tom Irwin.


In the relays, the Men claimed silver in the 4x50m Medley and a Bronze in the 4x50m Freestyle to round off a great day in the pool.
