Our BTEC Business students took the opportunity to make a return visit to the British Airways Learning Centre at Heathrow to learn how BA uses social media to engage with its customers.
This is directly linked to their coursework for the Business Communications assignment. Students were invited to design and create a Facebook campaign that would promote BA to young people aged 16-24. The students were given the opportunity to present these ideas to BA who then awarded prizes for the best concepts; these included encouraging students to plan a gap year and a BA banter competition.
Suzanne Newell from BA commented on how smart the students looked in their business attire and how well they presented their promotional campaigns.
Feedback from the students was well received on what a good day out it was.
All in all an enjoyable day was had by all.
