A perfect round

A perfect round

On the weekend of 4 - 6th April, Iain Mackay (BTEC Level 3 Sport) represented the South East Regional team at the British College's National Sports Finals, held at the University of Bath.

The golf event was run over 2 days, and Iain Mackay completed a challenging 36 holes at Bath Golf Course situated close to the University campus. A fantastic overall performance assured Iain of the runners up spot and a silver medal for his efforts. The first round saw Iain shoot a worthy 74 (3 over) on Friday, however, an inspirational performance on Saturday saw Iain shoot a round of 70 (-1) to become British runner up. Iain also added to his silver by helping the South East Mens Team win team Bronze. Iain is hoping to break through into the professional ranks after College and we wish him every success.

The efforts of Iain helped the South East Regional team come runners up for the whole 3 day event, just missing out on the Wilkinson Sword, which they won in 2012!
