A group of second year Subsidiary Diploma Students visited the British Airways Waterside Education Centre at Heathrow to see first-hand how BA uses social media to engage with its customers.
On arrival the students received a presentation regarding social media followed by a quiz. The four lucky winners were given the opportunity to dress up as cabin crew and welcome their fellow students “on board” one of BA’s aircraft and to give the rest of the group a safety briefing in the style of a real cabin crew. The students were also given a tour of BA’s headquarters and visited the speedbird museum.
Later on in the day the students designed their own facebook promotional campaign for BA, as activity that is directly linked to their unit 4 assignment on Business Communication.
All in all an enjoyable day was had by all.
