On the 23rd September the 2nd Year Business Diploma students were set a challenge on their “Working in Business Team” assignment.
They were split into 6 teams and given 3 weeks to complete an “Apprentice” style assignment with the winning team being the one that could raise the most money for charity starting from a £10.00 kitty. Various activities took place throughout the next three weeks including cake sales, sponsored walks, car washing and name the teddy, to name but a few.
All of the students worked extremely hard to raise money for their given charities and learnt a lot about working as a team to reach their objective and to achieve their P4 and P5 of their current unit, especially the 'Elemonators' who were the clear winners raising £434.72 for DEBRA. In total all 6 teams raised over £800.00 for charity.
Alan Sugar would have been proud despite the fact that no-one was fired from the boardroom!
