Students find that Strode's provides them with a fresh start and gives them more of a taste of the wider world than a school sixth form might provide without being large and impersonal.
Strode's is big enough to provide a stimulating and varied community where new interests and friendships can flourish. It is also sufficiently compact to ensure that everyone matters.
College life in general is very different from school life. A more mature environment provides the ideal preparation for university or employment. You are working with experts in both their subject areas and in educating young people in their late teens. What counts for most students is that they have graduated into a more adult community where there is mutual respect, where they are expected to learn from each other as well as their teachers, and where they are given space to develop their individuality.
It is easy to make new friends and the College provides ample opportunities to become involved in a large variety of social, artisitic, sporting and charitable activities, amongst many others.
You may wish to stand for the Student Council or work on The Duke of Edinburgh Award programmen for example. It is unlikely that we could not help you develop an interest or talent!
