On 19 June 2012 the Art and Design Department hosted their annual progression day in which visiting artists and designers come into the department to work with the students.

The workshop for the Design and Technology students focused on Architecture.  Martin Jennings worked with the students on creating many different structures out of a host of materials. The idea was to help inform and inspire the students about the use of space, scale, shape and form within both interior spaces and the built environment generally. This workshop was assisted by another visiting architect, Alister Renni. Alister is an ex-student of Strode’s who has just finished his Part 1  Architecture studies.

"it was fun - it made me think - education enlarged"  - Imran Dewji  and Ryan Croxon (Graphic Products students discussing the day's activities)
