First year A Level Textiles student will be exhibiting their work at Egham Museum until 20th June.

The students chose their own starting points for the project, these varied from lead toy soldiers, to sepia photographs, and the style of letting on some books.

Students then has the opportunity to explored textile techniques in an attempt to convey the age of the objects studied and sometimes possible histories. The techniques have included, heat transfer, batik fabric painting, applique and image transfer. Embroidery and embellishment have developed the work further.

The project has allowed the students to explore design process from research drawing, the exploration of textile techniques and the study of the work of relevant artists and designers. 
Egham Museum is open between 10.00 - 4.30 Tuesday and Thursday then again  Saturday mornings
