Congratulations go to our BTEC Creative Media Studies students,  Benedict Lovejoy, Lewis Hudson and Shannon O’Brien for winning the Lloyd’s Bank Marketing Pitch and more importantly, gaining a place on The Ideas Foundation career support scheme, The Ladder.

Earlier this year, our media department approached the creative education organisation, The Ideas Foundation.  They work with blue chip companies such as Max Factor, Fosters and Skittles to set briefs for schools and colleges allowing students to develop and nurture their creativity by producing marketing campaigns for well-known companies.

This year our second year students work on a Lloyds Bank brief. The brief was simple but challenging: Create a marketing campaign that encourages young people to save with Lloyds.

After working on the brief for several weeks the students pitched their ideas to a panel of industry experts, including staff from Lloyds Bank, the Ideas Foundation and London based advertising agency, adam&eve.  Having watched all of the pitches the panel decided that Benedict Lovejoy, Lewis Hudson and Shannon O’Brien’s campaign and pitch was the winning effort! They now head to London in June to pitch their idea to the senior team at adam&eve.

The winning students are naturally thrilled and excited and commented after finding out that they had won ‘We are all very happy with ourselves for winning the Lloyd’s pitch’.

Good luck in June guys!
