The Pitchfork Disney
1st year acting students went to see a revival of Philip Ridley’s ‘The Pitchfork Disney’ at Shoreditch Town Hall.
As our students stepped into Shoreditch Town Hall’s atmospheric basement spaces they experienced this unique, immersive revival of Ridley’s debut play deep in the eerie underbelly of East London.
Philip Ridley’s seminal masterpiece played a revolutionary role in changing the face of British theatre when it premiered in 1991 to critical acclaim and controversy. It is a story of a brother and sister who have isolated themselves by telling each other horror stories about a world outside.
