Strode's College Business, Economics and ICT students had the opportunity to visit the bustling Economic and Business suburb  of New York for a six-day educational trip over the Easter period.    This what hopes to be an annual trip gave the students the opportunity to take part in an exciting programme of educational visits and to soak up the different cultures that New York has to offer.

‘The Big Apple,’ otherwise known as New York, is one of the global leaders in terms of business and finance. It is a bustling, cosmopolitan metropolis, full of culture and atmosphere and is a world business capital.

The students visited the Bank of American Finance and took part in a workshop about ‘managing money better’ and ‘learnt how to get rich!!’  They also took the opportunity to  attend a presentation  at Macey’s about how the business was set up and the marketing strategies they use to keep customers interested.

New York is a fantastic location for introducing students to the buzz of the modern business world. Students were able to get up-close and personal with a wide range of organisations across a number of business sectors, which helped to deepen their understanding of the world of international business.

And of course, no visit to New York is complete without visiting some of the famous  landmarks, they  went to the top of the Empire State Building, saw the Statue of Liberty and visited the 9/11 memorial as well as of course, Times Square.   They ate out at some amazing restaurants and managed to find a little time to shop on  5th avenue.

Students had a fantastic time and said it was a trip never to be forgotten with lasting memories.
