On Wednesday 19th March the Biology Department took 94 students to the Keynote AS Biology Student Conference in Tufnell Park, North London. For some students it was their first time using public transport across London and they all did very well. The conference was run by chief examiners from the major exam boards, and expert Biology teachers.  This gave the students first-hand experience of what it is like to attend lectures in a lecture theatre.

Students were invited to submit questions to the experts and an iTunes voucher was on offer for the best question. Strode's student Rebecca Harrington beat around 600 other students from the London area to win the competition with her question ‘What is the most dangerous part of the human body for cannibals to eat?’ For anyone interested, it is the brain, followed by the large intestine!
