Is Strode’s the right college for you? We want you to be sure, and the best way to do this is to come and visit us and together we can work towards your application.
How to Apply
You can now apply online, please click on the Apply 2017 button on the right hand side. Paper application forms are available by request.
When to Apply
Strode’s is a popular College and we accept applications throughout the year. Students at our partner schools are guaranteed a place (subject to the usual requirements) if they apply by the 31 October. If you are not from a partner school and have not yet applied, please do so as soon as possible. Both your school and Strode's recommend that you complete your application before Christmas. If you have not chosen your subjects, we can help you in your interview with your individual study programme.
Our partner schools do not need to request a prospectus as these will be given directly to your school. You can apply online by clicking the Apply 2017 button on the right hand menu, paper application forms are available on request.

Our Interview Process
Our interviews begin in September. We interview everyone who applies and will arrange an interview appointment for you as soon as we receive your application form. At the interview we will discuss your subject choices and you will be given extensive advice. It is important that we match these to your aspirations, abilities and the realities of your career or Higher Education plans.
You can attend the interview on your own or with your parents or carers. Following your interview you will be offered a place, provided we have received a satisfactory school reference and we have a suitable programme for you at Strode’s.
Your offer will be confirmed by email to the email address provided on your application form, together with any entry requirements for the courses you have chosen. You need to accept or decline this offer within one month.
After your GCSE exams have finished, we invite all our applicants to our Introduction Day. This gives you the opportunity to meet teachers and new friends. You will have your own programme created for the day based on your choice of subjects. This will give you the opportunity to have hands on experience on how the subjects are taught at Strode’s.
This is an excellent opportunity to view our facilities, speak to teaching staff in the areas that you are interested in, have tours from current students, meet our Principal, work out your options and receive careers advice from our Student Services staff.
College Talks and Careers Events
Throughout the year we visit our feeder schools, attend careers events and hold talks about the College and student life. This gives you the opportunity to find out more and ask questions about your next steps.
GCSE Results Day - Good Luck!
Once you have confirmed your place with us, we will write to you over the Summer with an enrolment appointment which will take place at the end of August. This appointment will help you to decide your final course of study. You will need to bring your GCSE results with you. If you need to change one or more of your subjects or your Pathway because you haven’t got the required GCSE grades, we will do our very best to find an appropriate programme for you.
Once you have enrolled you are then a Strode’s student! You will start College the following week, with a day of Induction before lessons begin on your chosen courses.
