Partnership with EBC

Partnership with East Berkshire College

Strode’s College and East Berkshire College, which has campuses in Langley and Windsor, are pleased to announce our intention to merge in order to create a larger college group, which will provide greater opportunities for young people, adults and businesses in Surrey and Berkshire.

The partnership will mean both colleges will retain their existing campuses and unique ethos, while sharing their wealth of expertise, staff talent, state-of-the-art facilities and resources for the benefit of current and future students.

Our vision: Together we are better

The vision and aim of the proposed merged college group will be to protect the independent identity and management of Strode’s College, Langley College and Windsor College. Teaching and learning at each college will continue as before, with all three college campuses committed to maintaining and building upon their long records of success in delivering the highest standards of education and training.

As a college with strong financial health and fantastic student results, we plan to continue to build on our 300 year history of delivering high quality education, continually raising standards and developing strong links with universities, to ensure the best possible outcomes for all our students.

Our students

If you are a current student or you have applied to study with us in 2016-17, you can rest assured you will continue to enjoy a high quality learning experience with us and there will be no change to your place of study for the duration of your course.

By working together, we will be able to do everything we do now and more for our students. Whilst our students will continue to identify with one particular college campus (e.g. Strode’s College), being part of a new college group will provide an enhanced offer to students across all campuses, greater learning opportunities, access to a wider range of resources and more progression routes.

Our timescale

Both colleges will now undertake preparatory work before both governing bodies consider the final merger proposal in December 2016. It is envisaged that the formal merger will take place in February 2017.
